Pride Run
London Frontrunners organise an annual 10k road race each year, the Pride Run 10k. The race this year will take place in Victoria Park London on Saturday 20 August 2011. Full details can be found on our website http://www.pride10k.org.
The Pride Run 2011 objectives are:
- To stage a successful, enjoyable, all-inclusive event presenting a positive image of London Frontrunners in particular and of gay and lesbian sporting clubs in general
- To attract runners of all abilities by holding the run on a flat, fast course in Victoria Park
- To raise funds for money for the Albert Kennedy Trust, in the last five years, London Frontrunners has donated over £23,000 to various charities
The race winners were Jamal Mohamed of Victoria Park Harriers and Alice Sutherland of Harrow Athletics Club. The top London Frontrunners were James Gillanders and Helen Smethurst who won the Gus Levy Trophy.
All runners will receive a goody bag. They will also be invited to the Pride Run 10K party which will take place in Shadow Lounge, Soho.
This year we are delighted to welcome international rugby player Gareth Thomas and television personality CJ De Mooi along to start the race and present the prizes at the awards ceremony. Gareth said, "It's great to be supporting this race where everyone whatever their ability has the chance to get out and run together. At the same time we're raising money for a really worthwhile cause."

You can register at any of our runs up until 30 June for just £13.00, this means that you won't have to pay the online registration fee. Please ensure that your registration form and fee is handed to member of the Pride Run 10K committee by 30 June 2011.
